The need to use disposable products in the beauty industry

The health and safety of the client or patient during the provision of services in the beauty industry or medicine, first of all, depends on a sufficient arsenal of barrier protection means. Non-woven materials are widely used in medicine for the production of sanitary-hygienic products, medical clothing, covering materials, dressings, etc. Polypropylene fibers, from which non-woven material is made, are a foreign substrate for microorganisms that get on them during operation. Therefore, disposable products are biologically inert and are not an environment for the further development of pathogenic microflora.

Disposable napkins and towels are made of spunlace material, which has high absorbency and good organoleptic properties, which are similar in characteristics to cotton fibers. Modern natural cellulose processing technologies are used in the production of this material, which makes it possible to obtain products that can replace gauze and cotton wool in medicine and surpass them in terms of certain properties, for example, in terms of moisture absorption. Spunlace is the basis for the production of medical clothing, as it does not lose its qualities after sterilization which allows to significantly reduce the risk of infection of patients and clients of medical and aesthetic institutions. Spunlace products have been tested in many leading clinics and institutes which confirmed the high efficiency of their use.

The primary material for the production of TM Etto and TM Monaco Style disposable sheets is non-woven materials based on polymer fibers.  An important feature of disposable sheets is their barrier properties in relation to microorganisms, as well as the absence of allergic reactions when in contact with the skin or mucous membrane.

Various multilayer materials are made on the basis of spunbond, for example, SMS (spunbond-meltblown-spunbond), from which ETTO TM disposable sheets are made. SMS material is widely used in medical practice. The middle layer of meltblown is obtained from the thinnest (1–5 microns) evenly spaced polypropylene fibers. Due to the thickness and structure of the fibers, meltblown is characterized by high filtration and protective properties in relation to bacteria, fungi, and also does not pass biological fluids, fats, and chemicals.

Microbiological studies have shown that the level of infection in case of covering the surface with a disposable sheet is reduced by 60 %, in comparison with the covering of fabrics made of cotton and/or linen. Another type of material used for the production of disposable sheets is laminated spunbond. Lamination with a polypropylene coating gives the material additional protective, oil-water-repellent properties and the ability to keep air out. Disposable laminated sheets of TM ETTO have the lowest level of bacterial permeability among all materials, therefore they are widely used in medicine and cosmetology, especially common among wrapping procedures and procedures using aroma and essential oils.

Today, the use of disposable products should be considered as an integral component of improving the quality of the provision of aesthetic and medical services in order to ensure the appropriate level of the client’s epidemiological and hygienic safety.

All materials used for the production of disposable TM Etto and TM Monaco Style products, after passing a number of studies, demonstrated positive barrier, bacteriostatic and bactericidal properties. Products are manufactured in accordance with the international quality standard ISO 9001:2015 and fully meet technical and sanitary and hygienic requirements. Etto TM and Monaco Style TM disposable materials are hypoallergenic, chemically clean and safe, and do not contain toxic substances that can harm health.
